More and more machine manufacturers are switching from established, purely hydraulic pilot control to electrohydraulics. While initially it was mainly the large construction machines that were equipped with the most sophisticated hydraulic pilot control, smaller vehicles such as mini-excavators or skid-steer loaders are now also being upgraded. Since August 2019, we have been part of the collaborative project Bauen 4.0 (Construction 4.0) of the Technical Universities of Dresden and Munich - with the aim of driving productivity and efficiency improvements for machine and communication technologies.
